                      The Chinese Elements

There are five Elements: Wood, fire, earth, metal, water. It is
considered that this is their natural or productive order,
because wood burns to produce fire, the ashes of fire are earth,
metal is mined from earth, and melts like water. The reverse
order is considered destructive.

Wood is associated with fertility, creativity and with travel
(as in boats)

beauty.

Earth is associated with femininity, solidness and willing
acceptance. As an occupation: health and education.

Metal is associated with military might, courage, wealth. As an
occupation: engineering (Wodin).

Water is associated with danger. As an occupation, with the
church.
